Polpetta

Name: Polpetta
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 1 year and 11 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 1 year and 10 months
Description:

Polpetta was only six weeks old when we spotted her and her brother at the side of the road. Local residents told us that they had suddenly appeared there one day without a mother or any other siblings. This was not a safe place for the two puppies, so we brought them to the DCC. Here, for the first time in their lives, they were able to eat their fill and sleep on a soft blanket. We dewormed them, treated them and vaccinated them when they were fit enough.

Both dogs grew up well. While Polpetta's brother could be placed at the age of three months, no one was interested in the brown girl. With her gender and color, she was not in demand.

Polpetta didn't feel comfortable in any of our packs and so we finally placed her in our DCC 50+ program. She has now found a great home here. We support the family with a monthly pension so that they can take good care of Polpetta and make ends meet themselves.
