Hard to believe, but when an animal loving tourist brought Rubi to us she looked like this:
We were concerned for her life more than once, but thanks to our care she's a "young lady" by now...
...and we were so happy, when we found a DCC ReHome Place for her.
Like for every other ReHome dog we were always there for Rubi and on one of our checks we had to find out, that Rubi was chained up and without any water - asked about it her "foster dad" told us she didn't bark enough chewed things and asked us to take her with us... 
...we don't have to be asked twice and Rubi was back to the safety at the DCC.
At the end, it is a truly happy end for Rubi: one of our volunteers, living in Sri Lanka, fell in love with cute Rubi and gave her a loving home. Rubi is still part of the DCC family and we will - of course - continue our care for her hoping to find many kind sponsors willing to accompany her throughout her future life.
