One morning, we suddenly discovered this healthy dog abandoned in front of our clinic. We didn’t know where she came from or who had left her there. However, her good condition and her comfort with people led us to believe that she wasn’t a street dog, but rather had been abandoned by her owner.
Since we didn’t know her origins, we couldn’t just send her back to the streets. We took her in. For her second chance at life, we named her Winda.
However, because we urgently needed space in the clinic for injured and sick patients, we eventually placed her in our DCC 50+ Program. Here, she has now found a wonderful home. We support the family with a monthly allowance to help them care for Winda, while also allowing them to make ends meet. We visit Winda every month during our unannounced check-ups.
As a sponsor, you would be supporting both Winda AND her needy family – a true win-win situation!
