Like (too) many of her comrades we found Gina when she was only a puppy - half starved, laced with parasites and with hardly a chance to survive on the streets of Sri Lanka...
We took her to us, nursed her up, vaccinated and neutered her...
...and when the time came we were happy that she found a ReHome family.
But sadly, we had to notice that her foster family took less and less care of Gina - at the end we had to take Gina back to the clinic to nurse her up yet again
Of course we didn't return her to that foster family, but gave her a place in our DCC 50+ Program, the social project to help animals and people.
Gina found a safe home but despite her foster dad taking good care her weight issues remained. We had to supervise Gina's health and check her weight regularly and eventually decided to take her back to the clinic.
Sadly, short time after Gina died of organ failure.
