Fortunato was found by tourists on the street in very poor condition and brought to the clinic. His mucous membranes were yellowish, indicating advanced liver failure.
Despite his serious health problems and his advanced age, we were not willing to give up on Fortunato. So we took him in and immediately began treatment. Fortunato’s condition gradually stabilized, and his blood values also improved over time. The shy boy slowly began to blossom and started to gain trust. Due to his advanced age and his health issues, Fortunato could not return to his former environment and therefore remained with us for the rest of his life. Here at the clinic, he was lovingly cared for and closely monitored medically.
Unfortunately, Fortunato’s condition suddenly deteriorated drastically in March 2026. His blood values worsened again, and he stopped eating, so we had to let him go with a heavy heart.
We are incredibly saddened by the loss of Fortunato. Rest well, dear friend. It is at least a small comfort to know that, with us, you were able to experience love and security once more, and that you were able to cross the rainbow bridge peacefully and protected.
