Age: ca 15 years and 10 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog for: 15 years and 5 months
Description:

We had known Sana since 2011, when she first appeared during one of our daily feeding rounds. She was a free-roaming owned dog who continued to show up over the years during our feedings. She had already spent time with us for a few short stays at the clinic.

But when we didn’t see her for an extended period, we decided to visit her at home—and we were shocked! After all these years, Sana was suddenly chained up—on an extremely short chain! Her family no longer wanted to care for the elderly dog…

Of course, we freed Sana immediately and brought her to our clinic. With us, she could spend her twilight years —safe, cared for, and with dignity.

Sana unfortunately developed liver failure in March 2026 and peacefully passed away at the proud age of 16.
We are very saddened that we had to let Sana go. Nevertheless, it comforts us to know that she was able to spend the final years of her life with us in safety and care. Dear Sana, we will never forget you.
