Webster & Chain Blacky

Name: Webster & Chain Blacky
Breed: Mix
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog for: 7 years and 10 months
Description:

Webster and his two sisters were found by our team on the streets of Sri Lanka. We brought the siblings to the clinic, nursed them up and watched them grow into beautiful teenagers.

Webster was lucky to find a ReHome place. Unfortunately, the family did not take care of him and we had to take him back with severe skin problems.
As he had gotten used to people so much we didn't want to take him as another Resident and therefor decided to find him a new home through our DCC 50+ Program, the social project to help animals and people.

To keep him company Blacky went with him.

Blacky got her nickname for a sad reason. Like too many of her comrades she was chained up and then she was "forgotten". Only after months - and when the chain had already grown deep into the flesh -  the owners mother-in-law pitied her and brought Blacky to us.

The weeks passed and thanks to our treatments and loving care Blacky has turned into a healthy and lively dog.

A few weeks after Webster and Blacky found their new home Blacky ran away and we haven't been able to find her. Still, we are on search for her.

Webster was doing well and we continued our care for many years. Sadly, he passed in August 2022 due to a bladder tumor.
