Carlson

Name: Carlson
Breed: Rottweiler
Gender: Male
Age: ca 9 years and 10 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 2 years and 11 months
Description:

Carlson was abandoned in the clinic parking lot in this pitiful condition. This is sad everyday life for us and yet we are once again speechless. How can anyone be so heartless? How can you get a dog and then mistreat it and let it deteriorate like this?

The Rottweiler was tied up in our parking lot! No wonder he didn't trust us at first and bared his teeth. Wounds on his paws, legs, anus and penis show that he had been beaten and abused. He must have been chained up or locked in a cage and was desperately trying to free himself. As a full-grown male Rottweiler, he weighed less than 20 kilograms. The poor thing had never had enough to eat in his life. Blood tests showed that he had babesiosis and that his HB and kidney values were very worrying.

We named him Carlson and nursed him back to health over many weeks. Due to his neglect, however, he will always be susceptible to illness and will therefore always need our help.
