Enzo once had a home. As a purebred dog, he was welcomed as long as everything was fine. But when he became ill, no one wanted to take responsibility for him anymore. He was simply abandoned and left to fend for himself on the streets. Yet purebred dogs are not made for life on the streets – they often struggle to adapt and suffer immensely.
When our team found Enzo, his condition was heartbreaking. His tail and right hind leg were severely injured, and maggots had already burrowed deep into his wounds. Sadly, his tail could not be saved and had to be amputated. On top of that, Enzo suffers from babesiosis.
Despite everything he has been through, Enzo has never lost his joy for life. With us, he has finally found a real home and is perhaps experiencing for the first time what it means to be loved, cared for, and protected.
