Malik

Name: Malik
Breed: Rottweiler
Gender: Male
Age: ca 6 years and 10 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 9 months
Description:

It is hard to believe, but Malik is not a stray dog. He once had a home and an owner who personally brought him to our clinic.
As a Rottweiler, Malik was originally acquired to serve as a status symbol for his owners. At some point, he must have injured his left eye – but instead of helping him, his owners simply looked away.

Only when the smell of his wounds became unbearable and maggots had already eaten into the flesh did Malik’s owners finally bring the poor dog to us. Malik’s treatment turned out to be lengthy, as the wound on his eye was very deep and healed only very slowly. In addition, Malik has babesiosis and therefore requires lifelong treatment.
His former owners no longer care about him at all, which is why this gentle giant will stay with us forever. Once his wound had completely healed, he was integrated into one of our packs and can now live a life in safety and security.

You can help us give Malik a loving home for the rest of his life by becoming his sponsor.
After everything he has been through, he truly deserves it.
Malik would be very grateful for your support.
