Helga

Name: Helga
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 3 years and 8 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 1 year and 6 months
Description:

One day, she was just there – standing in front of the gates of the Dog Care Clinic: Helga.
To this day, we don’t know where she came from. No one came looking for her, no one asked about her.

Apart from an allergy-related skin condition, Helga was in good health. Her overall condition suggested that she once had a home – perhaps even a loving one.
But at some point, for reasons we can only guess, she was no longer wanted.
Was it her allergy that became too much for her family? Or did she simply no longer fit into their lifestyle? Maybe she just became inconvenient – as is sadly the case for many dogs once they’ve outgrown their cute puppy stage.

Stories like Helga’s touch us deeply. Because one thing is certain:
We are here all year round – for people and for animals. Had her family reached out to us, we would have found a solution together. Helga didn’t have to be abandoned.

Now she’s with us – and for now, she will stay.
Whether we’ll be able to find a new home in our ReHome program for this wonderful, beautiful dog remains uncertain. At three years old, Helga is already considered “too old” by many locals, which means her chances of finding a loving family are, sadly, very slim.

That’s why it’s all the more important that we can continue to care for her here at the Dog Care Clinic. We are now looking for kind-hearted people who would like to support Helga through sponsorship.
She should never again feel unwanted or alone.
