Sparkle came to us as a small puppy – brought by a kind-hearted tourist family who found her in a helpless state and chose not to look away.
Unfortunately, we know very little about her past. But judging by how her life began, we suspect she is one of the countless unwanted puppies born in Sri Lanka – simply because many owners do not have their dogs neutered. Perhaps Sparkle once had a family who took her in with good intentions, only to quickly realize they weren’t ready for the responsibility. And so, like so many puppies here, she was abandoned.
We can’t say for certain.
But what we do know is this: Sparkle was incredibly lucky. Thanks to the attentive tourist family, she was given the chance to start over at the Dog Care Clinic. The family even covered her medical costs and became her sponsors – a rare and heartwarming stroke of luck.
Sparkle has blossomed beautifully. She’s curious, cheerful, and full of charm. Her playful spirit and zest for life are infectious – as her photos clearly show.
Sadly, some time ago, contact with the kind tourist family was lost, and their support came to an end. Now Sparkle is once again looking for kind-hearted people who will help her continue to live a safe and well-cared-for life.
