Life for dogs in Sri Lanka is extremely difficult. They are constantly exposed to danger and disease. Most are left to fend for themselves when they fall ill and have no hope of a better future. The fate of Ilaya and her puppies seemed already sealed: a cruel death on the streets. But they were rescued just in time. However, their condition was so bad that little Archi died a few days after admission. We are now continuing to fight for mother Ilaya and little Melia.
