Keno

Name: Keno
Breed: Labrador
Gender: Male
Age: ca 3 years and 8 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 1 year and 10 months
Description:

Keno was only 2 years old, but his life story was already filled with pain and abandonment. A sweet, gentle Labrador, he was cast aside by the family who was supposed to love and care for him. They didn’t want to take responsibility for the health problems that Keno faced—problems caused by poor breeding practices that are all too common among pedigree dogs in Sri Lanka.

Like so many others, Keno’s fate was sealed before he was even born. Bred for looks, not health, he developed health issues that his owners weren’t willing to manage. Rather than seeking the help he so desperately needed, they discarded him. Keno was left to fend for himself. But fate had other plans. Keno’s journey didn’t end in despair. We spotted him on the streets and brought him with us. We treated his demodicosis and re-built his immune system. He now lives on our clinic premises, where we continue to provide him with everything he needs.

He’s a young dog with so much love to give, but he’s also a dog with a past that has left its mark. He needs sponsors who can help cover his ongoing medical treatments, his food, and the care he needs to thrive.

With your help, he can have the chance to live the life he was always meant to lead.
