Kiki and Chubby

Name: Kiki and Chubby
Breed: Mix
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 2 years and 9 months
Description:

When street dog Kiki was looking for food for herself and her little puppy, she was brutally beaten by a restaurant manager. He wanted to chase her away in this way. Kiki fell to the ground screaming. Her little puppy had no idea what had happened. Luckily for Kiki, she was rescued by animal-loving locals and taken to a local vet. The vet diagnosed a traumatic brain injury. The brain swelling was so severe that Kiki could no longer stand or walk. She came to us at the Dog Care Clinic for treatment together with her little puppy.

We managed to greatly reduce the swelling of the brain within a few days with the right therapy. With supportive physiotherapy and oil massages, Kiki learned to walk again. Her little son, his rescuers named him Chubby, never left her side during all this time and this certainly gave her the strength to keep fighting. Kiki's and Chubby's first weeks with us were characterized by many ups and downs and several times we feared for the life of the mother and the puppy. But in the end they both fought their way through and are now healthy residents at our clinic.

All we need now for a true happy ending are kind sponsors.
