Pit bull Pumpkin has not had a good life so far. As a purebred dog, he was acquired by his owners as a status symbol. However, they seemed to have no interest in the fact that a dog needs care, good food, and affection. When Pumpkin eventually became so ill that his appearance was no longer bearable, he was heartlessly abandoned on the street. Pumpkin owes his life to a kind tourist with a big heart, who brought him to us.
At the clinic, our team diagnosed Pumpkin with demodicosis, allergic dermatitis and severe breathing problems, inflamed anal glands, a fungal skin infection, and babesiosis. We knew that if Pumpkin were to survive, his recovery would take a long time.
Pumpkin showed great fighting spirit and, with our help, fought his way back to life. However, due to his chronic illnesses, he will have to remain with us permanently.
To ensure his ongoing care, Pumpkin is still looking for kind people who are willing to support and accompany him on his journey.
