Mika was picked up by our catcher team after they noticed he was suffering from severe skin problems. Most of his fur had already fallen out.
At the clinic, we diagnosed a heavy infestation of Demodex mites. These mites are usually harmless for healthy dogs, but when the immune system is weakened, they can multiply rapidly and cause intense itching, inflamed skin and significant hair loss. This was exactly the condition Mika was in when he arrived.
He is now receiving holistic treatment – including medicinal baths to combat the mites and supplements to strengthen his immune system.
