Shepherd dog Milo, an owner dog, was in poor condition, badly neglected, frightened and hardly recognizable as a German shepherd. Milo suffered from severe demodectic disease and also had tick fever. Without treatment, he would only have had a few weeks to live.
We are now taking care of Milo, but we do not know what long-term damage he has sustained as a result of his previous neglect. He is still a young dog and so we are hopeful that he has many happy years ahead of him - but certainly only if he can stay under our care forever.
In May 2022, Milo got really lucky when he was adopted by a family very close to the clinic. He now lives en route of our feeding tour which allows us to keep a close eye on him and make sure he is always doing fine.
