Smarty

Name: Smarty
Breed: Mix
Gender: Male
Age: ca 3 years and 4 months
Neutered/Spayed: No
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 3 years and 3 months
Description:

Smarty must have been extremely scared when he was dumped with his mother and siblings. The puppies were hiding under a concrete slab.

Luckily, local residents became aware of the squeaking and whimpering of the frightened dogs and informed us. We took the whole family with us. We raised the little ones with a lot of care and love and were very happy when Smarty found a home at the age of three months. A doctor chose him.

At our follow-up visit six weeks after placement, everything seemed fine, but shortly afterwards, the doctor brought Smarty back to us. Why? Because Smarty pooped in front of the house. We were shocked that this was reason enough to reject a new family member, but of course we took Smarty back on.

Meanwhile, Smarty had become too old for another rehome. But fortunately, we could place him with a loving family in our DCC 50+ program, where he happily lives in a pack with Florence, Naru and Emilia.

Through our DCC50+ program, we will accompany him forever and therefore hope very much for animal-loving sponsors who will support us!
