Jabari

Name: Jabari
Breed: Mix
Gender: Male
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 1 year and 3 months
Description:

There was an emaciated dog lying in the middle of the road. A rope was tied around his neck, and when he got up to run, we couldn't believe our eyes. He had a complicated fracture - God knows how long...

This poor dog was certainly abandoned by his owner - even though we carry out major operations such as amputations for the needy population completely free of charge.

Despite bein full to the brim, we couldn't leave this badly injured dog on the street. We took him in and named him Jabari. He was given painkillers and we did all the necessary tests. It was not yet possible to amputate his leg because his general condition was too bad for that. So we improved Jabari's condition for a week until he was fit enough to have his hind leg amputated.

Jabari is now one of many three-legged dogs that are worthless in the eyes of most Sri Lankans. But we love Jabari and will take care of him for the rest of his life.
