On October 15th, 2013 we received the shocking news from an agitated animal friend in Galle:
In the Muslim Quarter a dog was intentionally doused with boiling water and - heavily injured - wandering the streets ever since...
After a large scale search we were finally able to track the dog after three days!
The poor dog was in agonizing pain and the condition was - of course - more than critical.
The healing took much time and efforts, daily wound cleaning and extra care were obligatory to save him.
Krish made it but her hind leg stayed crippled.
So in March 2015 we decided for amputation under the guidance of Dr. Stefan Hauck ...
...and Krish rode the surgery well. A big THANK YOU of the wholeDCC Team goes to Dr. Hauck !
After many happy years Krish got skin cancer. She was a true fighter and managed to keep up her spirits but in september 2021 she eventually lost the battle. We will never forget her.
