We received a call by a worried Sri Lankan man informing us about an apparently blind dog on a busy street.
Our team went immediately to pick up the dog. The first check in the clinic reveiled that Luna was completely blind on her right eye and had hardly any vision left on her left eye either. She is basically blind.
Disabled dogs face a very crucial fate in Sri Lanka and nobody would give them a home. For our visually impaired dogs it is especially important to integrate them into small packs in order to adopt quickly. Luna now lives with other dogs in our 'laundry pack'.
Update: Sadly, At the age of nine years old, Luna passed.
