Mimi is a disabled dog – and in the eyes of many Sinhalese people, unfortunately considered completely worthless. But thankfully, not everyone in Sri Lanka thinks that way: Mimi was incredibly lucky to meet a kind-hearted Sinhalese woman who immediately took her in.
However, it soon became clear that Mimi needed professional help – so she brought her to us.
Mimi received regular therapy sessions to improve her mobility, stimulate her metabolism, and enhance her overall well-being.
Mimi’s condition has improved so much that we were able to include her in our DCC50+ program. Mimi now has her own home with a family in need, who in return for adopting Mimi receive a small monthly pension from us. We also cover Mimi’s medical care for the rest of her life.
Caring for our DCC50+ dogs involves high costs, so we would be very grateful if Mimi could find loving sponsors who would like to support her on her journey.
