Pasi fell victim to a reckless driver. In Sri Lanka, sadly, very few people slow down for a dog – and so many share Pasi’s tragic fate: left behind, seriously injured, at the side of the road.
At the time, Pasi was just five months old – her whole life still ahead of her. Fortunately, our friends from Embark stepped in just in time and rescued the young dog.
Since we are known across Sri Lanka as the leading place for paralyzed dogs, Pasi was eventually brought into our care. She is now able to live a life filled with love and attention.
Otara Gunewardana, the founder of Embark, is supporting us with the costs of her care – but looking after a paralyzed dog is especially demanding and expensive.
