Samuel went through hell. It took his owner four months (!) to bring him after an accident. He was completely neglected and in dreadful condition when he finally arrived at the DCC.
We needed to amputate his front leg but Samuel was too weak for such an operation. We nursed him up and after two weeks he was stable enough for the amputation.
Samuel is a true fighter and rode the surgery well. It took him two days to get back on his feet and by now, Samuel has gained enough weight, too. We will not return him to his owner.
He can stay as Resident or will be put in our very successful DCC 50+ social program.
In order to do so we rely on kind sponsors willing to support us and Samuel!
