Poor Tayo was hit by a train. His left hind leg got separated from his body and his right front paw was shredded. We were the only organization that responded to the call for help and immediately drove to Weligama, 25 km away. Tayo had already lost a lot of blood. His HB level was critically low, but we saved him.
Tayo's follow-up care took several months due to the severity of his injuries. After we treated Tayo in the intensive care unit during this time, he was finally able to switch to the pack of severely disabled dogs. He quickly made friends there and is now living a happy life as a DCC resident.
Tayo will stay with us forever.
