Bammi

Name: Bammi
Breed: Mix
Gender: Male
Age: ca 4 years and 11 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 11 months
Description:

Bammi was discovered by two animal-loving tourists on their way to the beach.

The women were alerted by his desperate cries. On a property, they found him – chained to a rusty chain, lying in the dirt, with a stump of a leg poorly wrapped in old rags, severely emaciated and dehydrated.

With the help of a local resident, they managed to convince the owners to hand Bammi over.

At the local veterinary practice, the critically weakened dog received first aid and was allowed to stay with locals overnight. Fortunately, the tourists had recently seen a post by the German journalist and television presenter Dunja Halali about the DCC and immediately arranged Bammi’s transport there on the next day. At the DCC, his leg was amputated without delay after far too long a time of suffering.

Today, brave Bammi has grown into a happy, lively dog. Since disabled dogs have very little chance of being adopted, we included him in our DCC50+ program. He now lives with a local family in need, whom we support with a monthly pension in return for adopting him. Of course, Bammi will receive lifelong medical care from us and will be visited regularly.

To ensure Bammi’s care, we are still looking for additional sponsors.
Would you like to take on a sponsorship for Bammi and accompany him on his path in life?
Bammi would be deeply grateful.
