Saheena is paralyzed and was probably abandoned at a temple because of her disability. The monks couldn't (or didn't want to?) take care of her on the temple grounds, so Saheena came to us. As a severely disabled dog she would have no chance on her own. In the tough fight for survival on the street, she couldn't hold her own against the other dogs. In addition, her wounds would get hurt from dragging them across the rough streets.
It was immediately clear that she could only lead a happy life with us! Saheena shows slight reflexes in one of her legs, but she will certainly never be able to walk.
As a paralyzed dog she needs a lot of care and daily therapy.
Update May: We are heartbroken. Saheena died of distemper. She had her whole life ahead of her...
