When 2 year old Sinky was brought to us after an accident only an emergency surgery could save her life. She had an iron bar rammed through her body and it was a wonder that no organs were damaged.
Attention - some of the detail pictures show the wound! Please do not click the photos when there are minors around and/or if you don't want to see pictures of a shocking nature.
After months of intensive care Sinky was able to walk again.
But it took many more months till Sinky recovered in fullest.
And even after that she stayed with us, as her wound still
needed regular treatments and she got too attached to the
DCC anyway. 
As "lifetime inmate" we built her a new cabana she shared with

Sinky spent a long and happy life with us and had many kind supporters,
that accompanied her 2nd life.
Sadly she also had a chronic Ehrlichiosis / Babesiosi, that took its toll and
aside all our efforts she left us. Sinky left much too early - but her memory
remains forever...
