Description:

Tourists called us to inform us about a female dog at their hotel. The bitch had recently had puppies and "something was dangling from her belly". This was alarming and of course we rushed to catch the dog. But we coudln't find her. Also after the tourists had gone back home we still tried to catch the mother and her puppies with the help of the hotel staff. One of our employees even went after sunset trying to catch the dog but it was not possible.

After several tries we could only catch the puppies.

The four of them were in rather good condition and so we had high hopes for them to get adopted through our rehome program. But we had too many puppies in the clinic and so Bree and Olivia never found a home.

Now, they live in one of our external packs where we still take care of them daily.

The tourist couple supports us with a spnsorship and they cover part of the costs which we are very grateful for.

Only with the help of animal lovers we can continue our care for the dogs of Sri Lanka.
