Julio was brought to us by his owner after he had been attacked by a water monitor. The little puppy was incredibly lucky: he survived the attack and, against all expectations, escaped with only superficial injuries.
After our team carefully treated and sutured Julio’s wounds, he remained in our intensive care unit for several weeks. During this time, he was closely monitored to ensure that no infections developed and that he could make a full recovery.
But when Julio was finally healthy again, no one came to take him home. He was left behind – a fate he sadly shares with many of our animals. For us, one thing was clear: Julio should never be alone again. That is why he will stay with us. As part of the DCC family, we will care for him medically, protect him, and stand by his side for the rest of his life.
Julio should never have to experience the pain of being abandoned again.
