Little Kian was thrown into a barrel full of tar by a dog hater. No chance for the young dog to get out. We don't know for how long he had been in this death trap. The viscous tar and the deep barrel gave the young dog no chance of escape. It is impossible to imagine the desperation he must have felt at that moment, alone and screaming with fear.
Kian was incredibly lucky. His cries were heard. Locals became aware of the young dog's struggle for survival and joined forces to free him.
Thank you to Kian's rescuers for not looking away!!

Once he arrived at the clinic well after sunset, we did our best to free Kian from the tough tar mass. The frightened and exhausted dog put up with everything.
It took Kian quite some time to recover from this terrible shock and regain trust after his horrible experience. We gave him all the time he needed and decided to not return him to his territory. He was not safe there.
Kian now lives at the clinic premises and enjoys the company of all the other dogs and our loving staff members.
