When we found Peach, she was in a heartbreaking state. Her body was covered in a severe fungal skin infection, and her nails were so overgrown that she could barely walk. Every step seemed to cause her discomfort – a picture of suffering that deeply moved us.
During her initial examination at the clinic, another life-threatening diagnosis was added: babesiosis – also known as "canine malaria." A disease that, if left untreated, can be fatal. It was immediately clear to us: Peach needed to stay. She urgently needed help – and we were determined to give her that chance.

Thanks to the loving care of our DCC team, her condition began to improve quickly. Her skin slowly healed, and after just a few weeks, soft fur started growing back over the once-bare patches. Bit by bit, her joy for life returned as well.
The once weak and broken little soul has blossomed into a lively, happy dog who now embraces her second chance to the fullest. Peach absolutely adores water – no pool or puddle is safe from her. Her zest for life is truly contagious.
Peach has already been through so much in her life. That’s why she will stay with us forever. Here, she not only receives the medical care she needs, but also love, safety, and a sense of belonging. She is regularly monitored for long-term effects of her babesiosis, and we make sure she is well looked after every single day.
To ensure Peach can continue living this carefree and happy life, we’re now looking for kind-hearted people to accompany her on her journey.
