She was originally scheduled to be spayed in the Field Clinic and then released back to her environment. But the sight of her took our breath away: her small body was completely covered in ticks.
With endless patience and dedication, our team spent hours removing the countless parasites. A subsequent blood test brought the heartbreaking certainty – Stella is suffering from babesiosis.
In her condition, a life on the streets is impossible. That’s why Stella will stay with us, where she is receiving medical treatment, loving care, and close monitoring.
