Fullmoon

Name: Fullmoon
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 6 years and 8 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 6 years and 4 months
Description:

Fullmoon was found on the street by tourists. He was dehydrated, malnourished and completely exhausted. It was clear that he was in urgent need of help. So we took Fullmoon in and were pleased when the rescuers became his first sponsors. We nursed Fullmoon back to health, but by the time he was ready to be rehomed, he was already "too old" at 6 months. Nobody wanted him and so it was clear that he would stay with us forever.
We take care of every dog for his whole life, but unfortunately Fullmoon's rescuers canceled their sponsorship after 1 1/2 years...

But it was to get even worse: While playing on the clinic grounds, Fullmoon suffered such a severe injury to his eye that we had to amputate it. As a disabled dog, he now really had no chance of finding a new home.

Fullmoon is one of dozens of disabled dogs at the DCC. For most people in Sri Lanka, they are considered worthless. But we love Fullmoon and hope that he will find many kind sponsors.
