We don't know what happened to Peppa and Zappa. We found them as small puppies together with two siblings in a cardbord box outside the clinic. There were huge lumps of indefinable dirt stuck to their little bodies and the puppies were all in very poor condition.
Despite all our efforts, two of the siblings died shortly after admission. But Peppa and Zappa fought their way through and survived the first critical weeks.
They were certainly separated from their mother far too early, as they have a serious calcium deficiency. Their hind legs are severely deformed and they can barely walk. We are now helping them with physiotherapy and supplementary food. This is associated with high extra costs for us and therefore we are urgently looking for sponsors who want to accompany Peppa and Zappa on their way.
