As a street dog, Toffee lived near the local hospital. There he fed on the patients' leftover food. It was a difficult life and it even got worse: Toffee had an accident, but no one helped him. It was weeks before we were at least informed about him. In the meantime, his injured paw got badly infected. We tried to save it, but in the end the only option was an amputation.
As Toffee's muscles in his remaining hind leg were weakened, we spent weeks helping him to get back on his feet with physiotherapy.
Toffee has now completely recovered from his bad past.
He should never have to return to the street again, which is why we are now looking for sponsors for our brave Toffee.
