Rayan

Name: Rayan
Breed: Schäferhund
Gender: Male
Age: ca 8 years and 3 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 1 year and 10 months
Description:

Rayan came to us at the end of June 2022. He was badly injured on all four paws and we had to remove countless maggots from them. Paw wounds are very difficult to heal, so Rayan had to undergo daily wound care for weeks. It was more than clear that the owner did not care for his dog at all. When he brought Rayan to the clinic, he even explained that he had no interest in taking Rayan back with him after his treatment. This was just fine with us, because the poor dog should not have been allowed to return to THAT owner.
After Rayan's recovery, we started looking for a good new home and found someone interested. However, it soon became apparent that the new owner was unable to cope with the German shepherd and so Rayan was returned to the DCC. We wanted to spare Rayan another unsuccessful placement and so we integrated him into one of the DCC dog packs on the clinic grounds. As a resident he now leads a happy and cared-for life, but of course this comes at a cost to us.

Rayan would therefore very much appreciate your help!
