Tinka was only one year old when she had a horrible accident leaving her wounded and injured. Her hind leg was affected the worst.
With daily wound care, we were able to save the leg, but Tinka has a walking disability to this day. As an adult, brown and disabled female, she had no chance of ever finding a home - if it weren't for our DCC 50+ program! Through our social adoption program, we placed Tinka with an elderly poor animal lover in the area. In exchange for taking care of Tinka, we pay the man a monthly pension. Thus, Tinka has found a loving home and the retiree not only has a loyal friend by his side, but also a secure monthly income.
The DCC 50+ program combines animal welfare with humanitarian aid, but of course this means extra costs.The man receives 40 euros a month and we visit Tinka every month to make sure she is doing well. In case of illness she will of course receive free treatment.
