Patty

Name: Patty
Breed: Mix
Gender: Male
Age: ca 3 years and 8 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 8 months
Description:

Patty's condition was typical of the street dogs in Sri Lanka, severe skin conditions are their daily companion. Patty was suffering from demodicosis and had a severe fungal infection when he came to us at the clinic. He showed signs of malnutrition and his blood values made it clear that he needed urgent help. He was only three years old, but was already scarred by life.

Our treatments worked well and Patty got better day by day. Today, nothing reminds us of his terrible past.

We didn't want to put Patty back on the street, but we urgently needed the space in the clinic for new patients. So we finally placed Patty in our DCC 50+ program, where he is now being cared for by an animal-loving family. Like so many people in Sri Lanka, Patty's family is very poor and receives no help from the state. We now pay them a monthly pension to care for the dog. This helps both animals and people!
We visit Patty every month to make sure he is doing well.

The DCC50+ program is a real win-win situation, but only works with your support!
