What was that whimpering in the bushes? The alarm bells immediately rang and when we tilted the branches of the bushes to one side, we couldn'T believe our eyes. A total of eight puppies were anxiously hiding here. They had probably just been thrown out onto the street by a heartless person. We took them all to the clinic. Eight new arrivals in one go was an enormous challenge for us, because the puppies not only needed food, but also medical care.
All eight grew up to be beautiful healthy young dogs, but it was not possible to find rehome families for all of them. Even Sonne was never adopted. We therefore finally decided to place her through our DCC 50+ project. She ended up with a very loving but destitute family in our neighborhood.
We know the family very well, as two DCC dogs already live here. Now Sone has joined them. The elderly couple receive a monthly pension from us to care for the dogs. This is their only regular income and ensures their survival.
Sonne and her friends are well looked after and we visit them every month to make sure they are doing well.
