Nomja

Name: Nomja
Breed: Mix
Gender: Female
Age: ca 8 years and 4 months
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
DCC dog since: 8 years and 2 months
Description:

Nomja was dumped with her siblings in front of our clinic.

One of the puppies sadly couldn't be rescued but the other three fur balls grew into beautiful dogs under our care.

All three of them were lucky to get adopted by locals through our rehome program. In the Rehome we still care for our dogs, check the living condition, the health condition and pick up the dogs for their castration once they have reached the right age.

Nomja was unlucky to get Demodicosis, a wide-spread skin disease, and had to be treated in the clinic. After the treatment her family didn't take her back - despite the treatment being free of charge.

So, Nomja was put in our social program, the DCC 50+. In the DCC 50+ elder locals give a loving home to our dogs and receive a pension in return. There is no proper social system in Sri Lanka and thus the DCC pension is in many cases the only regular income for these families. All dogs are visited regularly by our team and receive free medical care.

Sadly, Nomja was really homesick and so we decided to take her back to the clinic after some time. She is now a resident at the DCC compound.

Please help us to provide for Nomja for her remaining life!
